Have you felt a little stagnant lately?
Maybe life isn’t going the way you expect. Maybe you feel like you’re stuck in a rut.
You know your life could be different. You’ve even tried a lot of different things.
But for some reason, nothing works. You just don’t know what to do next.
I’ve been in your position and know how it feels. It sucks. But you don’t have to stay there.
Here are a few tips on how to build some momentum and move forward in your life:
1. Get Away to Discover Your Passions
You don’t have to go on a vacation or anything. But go into a new environment and have some blank time to just dream.
Bring a notepad with you.
Reflect on where you are right now. Think about the dreams you used to have. Think about the dreams you have right now.
Discover what you really want out of life. Really dream – don’t let obstacles determine what you want to do – you can deal with that later.
2. Set Tangible Goals
We usually fail at our goals when we set them too big and vague.
Set small, realistic goals. This doesn’t mean that you have small ambitions. But think of your goals as stepping stones.
Whatever that big dream you have is – break it up into smaller chunks. Think of the first things you need to do – be specific and set a timeline.
The smaller and easier the goals are, the more likely you are to accomplish them. And as you continue hitting goal after goal, you’ll feel the excitement of progress as you move towards your dreams.
3. Ask Other People to Help You
I hate asking for help. But I’ve always been more successful when I do.
I know the thoughts that go through your mind.
I’ll seem weak. They’re too busy. They won’t want to help.
People are more willing to help than you think. Just ask. They’ll open up the floodgates to networks and resources.
Now it’s on you. What do you need to do to spark momentum in your life?
