So, I’ve just sent an email out to many of my contacts about my new business project, Intrinsic. It’s moving fast, and to be quite honest, it’s both scary and exciting. Most of the time I don’t really know what I’m doing, but just learning along the way. I really am not qualified to do this, but it’s a passion that I have, and a risk I need to take. Because as a close friend said to me recently – the world can’t afford for us to stay comfortable another day.
As Intrinsic is starting to form, we’ve got two main goals right now. One is building a core staff team. We’ve already got some amazing people both in Kenya and here in the US that will help put this dream into action. I need people who ares skilled and knowledgeable in business, finance, legal stuff, import/export, marketing, manufacturing, and a manny other things. Whether you want to be part of the core team, or help out once in a while, it would be much appreciated.
Second, we need funding. We need investors. Initially, it would be about $4000 this summer to cover travel expenses to East Africa and initial project costs. Plus additional funding to help pay our core team who will be working hard all summer to get this off the ground. So if you have some connections to deep pockets, or know of resources we can apply to, let us know.
Yes it’s a project that I have no experience in and zero capital. But that’s what forces us to be creative, and to dream bigger. You can also subscribe to my personal blog, as I will be updating it throughout the summer with details on my own personal journey in trying make this happen.
“All men dream, but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds wake in the day to find that it was vanity; but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act out their dream with open eyes, to make it possible.” – T.E. Lawrence
